Veteran Housing Services
Temporary furnished housing at ORP is a great alternative to hotels for patients and their families on extended medical stays. When a Veteran is undergoing a treatment or procedure and is in need of housing near a VAMC, they can benefit from a short-term furnished apartment within ORP. Our apartments are less expensive than comparable hotels in the same cities. Temporary furnished housing comes fully equipped to allow Veterans to stay comfortably while recovering from a procedure or treatments. The apartments will enable them to cook meals in their own kitchen, eliminating the cost of eating out at restaurants daily. What’s more, many of these apartments are located on the first floor of elevator buildings, eliminating the challenge of ascending stairs.
Caregiver & Family Support Services
Our staff are aware that military families play a key role in helping to prepare service members for deployments, providing emotional support and motivation, and assisting with reintegration after returning home. A family member or friend of a Veteran with mental or physical health challenges is key in providing support toward recovery. People who are close to Veterans are often the first to notice that they are facing a challenge.
Veteran Information Services
Veteran informational services will be provided based on compiled resources, and experiences, as deemed necessary for a seamless transition from military service. Information including that related to job placement, resume services, cybersecurity, veteran benefits, it training, business developmeny, and community resources will all be made available to those in need.
Veteran Support Groups
Peer (Veteran) groups will be led by someone who has been through a similar trauma or who has had similar significant life experiences.
Telehealth Services
Oasis Renewal will help Veterans access the internet and technology they need for telehealth care. For Veterans who don’t have internet service or an internet-connected device in their home or community, accessing telehealth can be difficult. Oasis Renewal is working to bridge this digital divide to ensure that all Veterans can access VA care where they are.
